The Front End of the 1967 Shelby Mustangs

The 1967 Shelby Mustang

1967 GT 350 & GT 500 shared the same front end and hood. The early 67's got the driving lights installed side by side. Once it was learned many states including California didn't allow lights that close together, a new front grille was ordered with the driving lights like John Huculak's GT 500 to the left. Note this 67 has the racing stripes over the car. Stripes were a dealer installed not a factory option. John's car also has a unique owner installed emblem on the left side of the front grille, a yellow Terlingua Racing Team badge. This car is a 427 Ford GT 500.
Jeff Stieferman, '67 GT-500 pictured to the left has the side by side driving lights.

Note that the 67 also had an identifying emblem on the right side of the car (left in both of these pictures.) The '68 does not have a grille emblem.
