The 1968 Shelby Cobras


Ford continued the same Mustang body style into 1968, the next year would see a change. The GT 350 was powered by Ford's new 302 motor. For the first half of the year, The GT 500's carried the Ford 428 Police Interceptor, but mid-year Ford introduced the Cobra Jet 427. Shelby American introduced the GT 500 KR (King of the Road). This was the first year the Shelby Mustangs were produced in Michigan. Use these links to learn more about the 1968 Shelby Mustang.
