The 1967 Shelby Mustangs, The Road Cars

Ford introduced a new body for the Mustang in 1967.  This larger body would hold Ford's big block motor. Shelby American one upped the big block Mustangs by replacing the Mustang 390 motor with Ford's 428 Police Interceptor and called it a GT 500. The GT 350 was continued powered by Ford's hi po 289, rated at 306 horses. The '67 Shelby Mustangs were the last ones produced in California.
