Author: Steve's 1970 GT350 (more...)
GT 350, 1970 Model,0F02M481462
Since imported special order in White bodywork. owned by a man called
Eric Barfield for some years then My Father purchased it from a man
called Alan leason in 83 with 5000 miles on the clock. My Father was
more in to women than the cars and so i looked after it at the age of
14-15. After I became 17 I started driving it taking it to Shows
until I was 18 and a half, then losing contact with my father and the
car due to him marrying again, he then again parted with his wife 10
years later in 98. I was just about to write to him when my father
phoned me and said it was a birthday present but I knew that it would
have been sold or something from the divorce. It stood in the same
place for years and when I first went to pick it up from him it
started the first time, it was aways covered and checked.
I now Own it since 98 and Love it to bits
Its now got 17,079 miles on the clock and its remained the same
condition since the purchase and still drives as a new car.
Its had the usual oil changing and maintance checks but spent most of
the time stored. I'm about to get it out of storage as I got knocked
down by a car two and a half years ago. I'm beginning to get bored
with injuries and so I've felt that life is very short and I need to
feel alive driving my Shelby again, the trouble is I have no money to
use it yet.
In the past I've taken it to the UK Shows and driven around, I played
a small part in a film too which was fun.
Its very Original Even the wheel were put on from the beginning as
I've met the first owner to tell me that he ordered this car and a
convertible GT500 at the same time, same colours like Twins. He sold the GT500
to Carrol Shelby back in the late 80s, The Shelby No; 0F03R482543.
I have a picture of this car somewhere.
Sorry the Pictures are of it uncovered in the storage place, I do not
take many pictures of it as I own I let others take them instead. I'd
rather drive it. The pictures here were for insurance company.
My Brother has a 68 GT500 which we drove to Lemans 24hr race last year
" What A buss that Was", the crowds would not leave us alone!
The Shelby No: 8T02S129498-00353.
Years ago it was Named as the SnakeCharmer in the UK with a air
brushed snake down both sides. now its back to standard colour after a
bit of restoring work.
My Father has a 69 GT350 Shelby No; 9F02M481963. This car stared in the
film "The Sweeny". Its a nice car but boring to look at as its
Gulfstream Aqua with Black interior. Its also for sale at the moment.
I hope i haven't bored you,
Regards
Steve
