The 1969 Shelby Color Chart

The 1969 Shelby Mustang, like the 1968 models, had the Ford warranty/data plate riveted to the driver's door latch area, same as the stock Mustang. Prior Shelby Mustangs did not have the color tag at that location. The colors of the car were indicated by a letter code. Exterior and interior color codes were both found on this tag.

The interior options were 3A for black vinyl and 3F for White vinyl and 3D for Red vinyl. The black and white convertible tops were also offered with any exterior color. On the white cars, the side GT stripe was blue, on all other cars the stripe was white.
