Lance Chase's Project 68 GT500

Author: Lance Chase's 68GT500 Project car  (more...)

I am in the process of restori g a 1968 GT 500 for my brother

I am in the process of restoring this 1968 GT 500 for my brother-in law. The car was a total rust bucket from the word go. I installed new floor pans, new quarter panels, inner and outer wheel houses complete floor area in the trunk, rockers on both sides and lower fenders. The complete car was stripped of all paint and primer down to the bare steel then before any type of body filler, seams only, I epoxyed the complete car in Red oxide PPG. I have stripped every part and nut and bolt in this car and epoxyed them before any type of paint was sprayed onto it.

These pictures were taken right after the LeMans stripes were painted on at the Owners request. Pardon the mess in the garage but I was very busy that week. If you want to put them on this web page be my guest but if you want to wait for the completed car pictures you may . this project should be completed with in the next two months. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at charger6@mvip.net
